Thanksgiving 2011 ( part IIl) Burning of the Old Christmas Tree

I think the time when we were burning the tree was Alex's favorite time during the whole trip. He was so excited and was walking about how tall the fire was and the sparkles:)

I
Look at that happy face♥

Then it was time for some rest after a long and fun day

On Friday, we made pretty hair bows and Saturday we went shopping for some fabrics and got a really cute one to make a Christmas dress for Genne if I don't ruin it.

We had a awesome week filled family fun and ever lasting memories... Hope you thanksgiving weekend was as fun as our.

Sunday morning we got back on the road and it was really clear but Genne got car sick twice and threw up twice in the car( poor kiddo) and ended up with just her diaper and two dirty blankets, but she was still very happy and wouldn't stop eating . We made it home around 6:30 PM and got our sticky, dirty, smelly girl clean and went to bed for a good night sleep after 8hours in the car.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!

Thanksgiving 2011 ( part Il)

Thanksgiving day was really warm for November in CO, we all went for a walk and the kids had a great throwing rocks in the lake ...Other than one really tired meltdown from our little diva, we had a great walk .

Alex throwing rocks in the lake with daddy♥. He thought that was the coolest thing ever. The kid is easy to please and entertain.

We spend a great afternoon together eating awesome food and enjoying each others company.

In the afternoon around 8:00 PM Lisa, Erin and I went to Walmart for some "Black Friday" shopping... I have never had so much fun shopping, I got an awesome deal on a few big Christmas presents and got to know a few new people REALLY well while waiting in line for two hours at Walmart...I surprisingly had a great time in waiting in line with a guy and his wife who wouldn't stop talking about beer, a military guy who talked about his drunk wife and sister-in law and a 19 years old and his girl-friend.  They compered their tattoos and the best place to get one, let just say I HAD A GREAT TIME although that was not really my choice of conversations.I got to walk around the store  for some manor things and finally found Lisa and couple new friends waiting for the midnight portion to start and apparently that is when the fun start...I don't really know how to write down what happen then but let just say: there was a pregnant lady who was going to have a c-section that following Monday, a few lady trying to protect her from the mob and a few teenagers platting to jump over our shopping carts and not to forget the pregnant lady was protected by barricade made out of shopping carts while trying to protect our big purchases that I already stayed in line for so someone wouldn't steal it. There is no way to explain how we got out of there without seeing it in person, I could not stop laughing a quiet some time, ha ha ha! We got home at 12:30 which was really early for black Friday shopping and got everything that we needed/ wanted and much more...Well, except for my Just Dance 3 for the Wii :(. It took me 3 min to get there and they were already out!

That was one of the best Thanksgiving day EVER!

Thanksgiving 2011 ( part l)

We made it safely to CO without any issue, part of the road was a bit icy but did not get unto any major bad weather. The kids did really well the whole 8 hours and we only stop twice for get gas and lunch. When we got to the house, they were sooo happy to be out of the car that they were running and jumping around the house like crazy ...They may have had a little too much candies in the car, he he he...We had an awesome week and met our new niece. She is the cutest and I got to hold and cuddle for a while ( LOVED IT).

A few random pictures.

Our cute niece Peyton and Genne getting alone just awesome...She even got a couple of hugs and kisses from Genne.
Genne "sharing" her Ipod with cousin Roxanne...Those two got along pretty well and were running arund the house screaming.

Genne and her new bff ( M&M)

Alex enjoyed playing the piano and hanging on the stairs with his Ipod ( such a loner).

It was really nice having everyone around with all the cousins and watching them interacted with each other.

....!

Dear Alex,

Please, please talk already...Mommy is getting tired of trying to read you sweet little  mind while you sit around and getting frustrated. I want to help you and give you what you want but something, I am just too tired and sleepy to deal with both of you pulling me in different directions.

Oh! and please tell your sister to stop her drama and stop fighting me so much.

PS. I am sorry for getting impatient with you today...I know it is not your fault.

LOVE YOU VERY MUCH
                                          Mommy♥

Update on our Alex

Weight: 30.8 ounce and in the 25 %
Height : 38 inches and in the 75 %
He is doing much better now and is progressing really well in school. His doctor thinks that I may not be autistic and if he is there is a chance that he will be just fine in time for kindergarten ( THAT IS AWESOME NEWS). His teacher wanted us to get him tested but the doctor thinks that it is unnecessary so we will wait and see.

Here are a few of his progress from school that he can do with help by his teacher just using verbal instructions

  • Can match two objects that are the same
  • Can match two pictures that are the same
  • Can point to a picture in a book
  • Can draw a circle after a model
  • Hold crayon in first grasp
  • Like to write name and line up crayon
  • Can write his own name  and recognize it on paper
  • He play with adults with physical assistance and verbal modeling

And here are a few things he just started doing

  • Participate in large or small group
  • making eye contact when talking to
I am so proud of all the progress he is making and hopeful he will be ready on time for kindergarten.

WE LOVE ALEX AND ARE PROUD OF YOUR LEARNING SKILLS AND LOOKING FORWARD TO WATCHING YOU GROW AND DEVELOP.
