Is He About to Talk or Just My Imagination.

I am not sure Alex understand anything he says but sometimes he will say stuff at the right time. Here are a few of the thing he will say:

• I love you too ( to Matt, after he told him " I love you "
• I am so happy ( while we were playing together)
• Alex, you ok ( whenever he falls down or hurt himself)
• Alex, where are you ( just randomly)
• Surprise ( randomly)
• Goodnight, mama ( last night after I told him "goodnight" 
• Thanks mama ( usually after I give him his Ipod, other than that I have to tell him to say it)
• It's ok, mama ( we were in the store and I hit the cart on a shell while he was in there, so I told him sorry and it say " it's ok, mama" ) 
• Ipod, mama ( he sure knows what he is asking for)

Those are some that I can remember.

Ps. Today in school, his speech therapist got him to pick up his backpack on the floor. . .I know it seem like nothing but for Alex it is something because he does not know how to follow instruction.

Alex's First Day of School

Alex had his first day of school today and he did great. He was really happy when we got to his class, without a second thought, dropped his backpack and jacket in the front door and run in with a whole lot of excitement. His teacher said that he was really good, played with play-doo which he called "snow ball". He did cry or get mad the whole time, they just had a hard time getting him to sit still but that I knew it. I think he really like it there and hopefully, he will be talking soon!

Happy St Patrick Everyone!

We did not really do much on St Patrick. We meet with Alex's teacher and she is really . . . Alex start on Monday. . . I am way excited for him to learn lot of new stuff. Hopefully, he will be talking in no time.

Happening at the Vintons

We have been up to no good for some time now. We have been sick and tired of the cold and in need of some sunshine and warm weather. We just been eating, sleeping and trying to be as nice as possible to each other. I love being a stay-at home mom, it has brought me great pressure and I get to hang out with the most awesome kids and make the cutest things ( HERE) for baby girl, now I just need to find some boy crafts  for Alex. On a happy note, we have an appointment with Alex's teacher on Thursday, which mean he probably will start school next week. . . This is super excited and a bit nervous at the same time. . . I hope he will love his teacher and BE HAPPY IN SCHOOL.  I am really going to miss him a ton but I will have a whole three hours of quality time with baby girl. She turned 18 months and I got to take her pictures while we had a bit of warm weather, click HERE to check it out.

 Yesterday, baby girl had her first whole apple and she actually eat most of it. . . Wish Alex will eat like her. . . He only eat chicken fried ( a specific brand), pizza, tortilla ( with nothing on it) and hot dog ( a specific brand), I don't know what to do to help him other kind of food. I know that he will like other food, if he will just try them. If anyone has any advise on how to get him to eat more variety of food, please feel free to let me know, will really appreciated.

I am surprise that she can eat this with just 5 front teeth, and again one only use front teeth to eat corn, I guess. I love watching her eat, it is fascinating :)

 I finally got Alex to fold his arms for prayer and even kneel down by his bed. I call this major accomplishment :). Now, if I can only get Genne to stay still ( she does fold her arms too while walking around). 

Poor kid is always so tired by lunch time!

Alex Loves his Ipod.

Alex loves his Ipod and learned so much from it.

Colors. shapes, count to 20, count back from 7 to 1 and his ABC and he even recognized them when he sees them.

My baby Gennie is 18 months.

Can't believe my little sweetie is 18 months, time sure go by fast. She has grown up so fast and learned so much .

We love you baby Gennie, you are one awesome kid!

 Some facts about our baby Gennie!

 She is sassy, bossy, sweet and loves big brother. Her favorite food now is white rice and beans ( our little Haitian girl) and black olives, although she will eat most things. She loves to watch Wiggles, Team Umizumi, Bubbles Guppies and Mickey Mouse Club House. She loves dancing to all kind of music and will dance with me while I do Zumba and our Just Dance games for the Wii. She is full of energy and make sure to use it all everyday. She also enjoys watching me chasing her around the house to do her hair. . .little that she knows, I don't care, I WILL DO HER HAIR even if she takes it off 10 minutes later and I have to do it while she is trying to run.

Valentines

This year Valentines was all about our little love buds. We dedicated all day to the ones that will always love you no matter what. We started the day with a yummy chocolates chips ( made especially for them, which they did not eat by the way )

Then, they got to open their baskets before Matt headed off to school. We made it the night before with a few things that they can enjoy and not to forget a box of chocolate.

Gennie loves teddy bear and she was happy to get one to add to her collections.

Later, when Matt got home, we took our cuties on a date. Alex and I went to Tacanos while Matt and Genne went to the Japanese steak house where she had a great time watching the chef cook the food right in front of her.

Flowers that Matt got me, I am married to such a sweetheart who did not mind making valentine's day special for the kids. I am thinking, we may make this a tradition because none of us really do care that much about valentines day.
